Every year, we recruit around 70-100 undergraduate degree students onto our 12-month Industrial Trainee Scheme, which consists of lab and non-lab paid placements across all areas of our business. Throughout your placement, you'll contribute to live departmental projects and be given real responsibility.
It's a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into how one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies operates, while advancing your own academic knowledge and technical skills. Our Sandwich site is modern with various benefits including, staff restaurant, social club, health club offering a gym and organised classes and a Pfizer bus service from surrounding towns. What's more, you'll enjoy a competitive salary, 25.5 days holiday, as well as a wide range of other benefits.
The departments recruiting for lab-based Industrial Trainees include Analytical R&D, Research Biology and Chemistry, Drug Safety R&D, Pharmacokinetic, Dynamics and Metabolism (PDM), Pharmaceutical Sciences and Process Chemistry. The departments recruiting for non-lab/non-science based Industrial Trainees include Science & Medical Public Affairs, Computational Sciences, Clinical R&D, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Finance, Informatics, Regulatory Affairs, Statistics and Supply Chain.
If you're currently studying any of the following or related degrees, we'd like to hear from you:
Please note the this scheme is for 12 months only and is open to students who have an Industrial Training Placement year as part of their degree or have taken a year out of their degree to do this with the support of their university.
We are unable to offer placements to post graduates or from students looking for placements of less than 12 months.
